Renowned mariachi ensemble Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán and Julio Preciado, a powerhouse in the world of Mexican music and beloved figure in the Banda genre, are coming to the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, August 9.  

Tickets are on sale Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at TangerCenter.com and Ticketmaster.com.

Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán was founded in 1897 by Don Gaspar Vargaz in Tecalitlán, Jalisco, Mexico, and is considered a cultural institution in the world of mariachi music. The group currently has 14 members and plays a variety of music, including traditional sones, classical works, and popurris. They are known for their distinct sound and engaging performances that blend tradition with modernity, and are considered the greatest exponent of traditional Mexican culture.

Julio Preciado has made an indelible mark as a singer, songwriter, and musician. Known for his soulful renditions and charismatic performances, Julio has captured the hearts of fans both in Mexico and abroad. His contributions to the music industry are nothing short of groundbreaking. He was a pivotal member of Banda El Recodo – one of the most iconic bands in this vibrant genre – before embarking on his successful solo career.
