Guide on How to Purchase Encore Series

An Encore Series package includes:

  • Choose your seat (performance and price level) to all 3 add-on specials in the 25-26 Season including Beetlejuice, Les Misérables, and SIX the Musical!
  • Pass for parking deck included!
  • 3  month payment plan available!
    • You will pay 1/3 of your total at check-out and your payment will be drafted monthly thereafter.
    • Please note this is only available for set-up in Account Manager, and not by phone or in person at the box office.
  • Schedule flexibility: make exchanges for the same show's run if you can't make your regularly scheduled performance.
  • Receive a priority window to upgrade to the full series in our 26-27 Season

Please note that the Encore Broadway Membership is not tied to seats for the First Bank Broadway Season. The memberships are separate and not tied by seats or other channels.

Current First Bank Broadway Season Seat Members

  • Have you already purchased one of the shows on our Encore Series (Beetlejuice, Les Misérables or Six?)
    • If you purchased one of these shows before May 2, 2025, garage parking is on us and will be added into your Account Manager.
  • Haven't purchased one of the shows in the Encore Series yet (Beetlejuice, Les Misérables or Six)?
    • Purchase by May 2, 2025, and garage parking will be on us if you add one or all three of these shows and will be added in your Account Manager.

      Can't make a show for your regularly scheduled performance? Season Seat Members are able to exchange performances within the same show's run with no additional service charge. We recommend exchanging as early as possible for best seating options.  

      Exchanges must be complete by 3 p.m. on the Friday prior to the show opening.  Account Manager and the call center will be unable to accommodate exchanges made after this deadline.  Please note that seating options for exchange can be limited and if changing into a higher priced performance or seating location, a price difference may apply.  Season Seat Members may also be required to pay a higher price for exchanges as some shows change prices as inventory becomes more limited.

      Should you not want to make an exchange and wish to re-sell tickets to one of your shows, visit Account Manager. See this guide for help on posting your ticket listing. Should you want to cancel your ticket listing, visit the Ticket Exchange and use this guide for help.

  • Pass for Parking Deck included
    • For each of your Broadway season shows, you will receive a parking pass valid for the Church Street or Marriott or other to-be-determined decks near the theater. Please check TangerCenter.com/Parking for updated information on show parking. Please note that space is available on a first-come, first-served basis; only good for the show noted on your voucher.

FAQ for Encore Broadway Memberships

  • Is the Encore Broadway Series tied to the First Bank Broadway series?
    • The Encore Series and First Bank Series are separate.
    • You may purchase both a First Bank Season and an Encore Series membership, but your seats to each "series" are not tied together.
       
  • Do I get to choose which shows are on my Encore subscription package?
    • As an Encore series member, you are subscribing to our three "add-on" shows in the upcoming season - which are Beetlejuice, Les Misérables and Six. This is not connected to the First Bank Broadway season, concerts, Greensboro Opera, or Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
       
  • Can I add VIP parking, Lee® Wrangler® Lounge, or the Prelude Dining Experience?
    • During your purchase process, you will see VIP parking, Lee® Wrangler® Lounge,  and the Prelude Dining Experience available, that you can add on in Account Manager for each of your three "Encore" shows.
       
  • Will the pit be seated for the shows in the 25-26 Encore Series?
    • Only SIX will have availability in the pit of the three Encore shows in the 25-26 season.
    • Encore members will have first access to pit seats when choosing their seats for each performance during the purchase process.
       
  • How can I exchange tickets in my Encore Series package?
    • Encore members are able to exchange their tickets for a different performance of the same show with no additional service charges. We recommend exchanging as early as possible for best seating options, as inventory can become limited.
    • If changing performance day(s) or seat location(s), a price difference may apply.
    • Exchanges must be complete by 3pm on the Friday prior to the show opening. Account Manager and the Call Center will be unable to accommodate exchanges made after this deadline.

  • Can I add on seats for individual shows?
    • When adding seats for individual shows to your Encore package, be aware that seating may be limited and you may not find seats available next to your own. Please note that tickets added to your Encore package account are subject to convenience fees and price increases as inventory becomes more limited.
    • Add-on seats do not roll over to another show if unused. For example, you can’t add on 3 seats to SIX because you only added-on 1 to BEETLEJUICE.

    • If you wish to pay for your add-ons with a Tanger Center gift card, please visit us in person at the box office.
       
  • If I choose to do a payment plan, when do my payments start?
    • You will pay 1/3 of your total at check-out and your payment will be drafted monthly thereafter. 

    • Please note this is only available for set-up in Account Manager and not by phone or in person at the box office.

    • Please do note make additional payments in Account Manager, as this will prevent the automatic draft in the following payment months.

  • Will I have to pay for a seat exchange?
    • While we do not charge a fee for subscribers to exchange performances, please remember that seating options can be limited and if changing into a higher priced performance or seating location, a price difference may apply. We also remind you that exchanges must be complete by 3 p.m. ET the Friday prior to the show opening.
       
  • Will my Encore Series tickets be mailed?
  • More add-on/exchange questions
    • Are there additional costs for adding-on/exchanging seats?
      • If exchanging seats to some of equal or lesser value, this is considered an even exchange, no additional payment will be needed. 
      • If exchanging seats to some of greater value, the difference in price must be paid, though there are no additional service charges.
      • Differences in price cannot be applied to an existing payment plan.  All upcharges must be paid in full at the time of checkout.
      • If you are adding-on seats for single shows on this Encore package prior to the event going onsale to the general public, there is a $18.15 per seat service charge in Account Manager or at the Tanger Box Office.
      • Please note that prices are subject to change at the direction of the touring companies at any time and you may have to pay a difference in price upon their direction.
    • Will add-ons, like VIP parking, Lee® Wrangler® Lounge, and Prelude Dining, be valid for a new show date if corresponding show tickets are exchanged?
      • Parking passes will still be valid for use once during the run of the show and do not need to be adjusted if show tickets are exchanged to a different night.
      • Patrons with Lee® Wrangler® Lounge or Prelude Dining tickets need to contact the call center or visit Tanger Center Box Office to have their tickets adjusted if changing performance nights.

  • What are my parking options for the Encore series?
    • Check out our updated parking page here.
    • Please note: space is available on a first-come, first serve basis; only good for the Broadway show noted on your voucher.
    • VIP Parking is available for $25 per show and can be purchased in Account Manager. Please note that there is limited availability for VIP Parking.
       
  • What are my dining options for the season?
    • Click here for information on our Prelude Dining Experience.
    • During your checkout process in Account Manager, you will have the option to purchase the Prelude Dining Experience for the night of your show performances.
    • Please note that the Prelude Dining Experience is not available for matinee performances.
    • The Prelude Dining Experience includes the following:
      • Enjoy interactive food stations and the inclusion of wine before your show in the Koury Grandview Room on the 3rd floor.
      • This is $50 per ticket per show plus applicable fees/taxes.
      • There is no price difference for children.
      • Prelude Dining Experience begins an hour and a half prior to show time.
         
  • What if there is a show on the Encore Series that I do not want to see?
    • We do not offer flexible season plans.  As an Encore Series Member, you are purchasing for all 3 Encore shows.
    • When the option becomes available, you would want to use the resell option in your Account Manager account to properly sell your tickets or you could transfer unwanted tickets to a friend.
       
  • When will transfer and resale options be available in Account Manager?
    • Transfer and resale will be available in the subscriber's account when each single event opens for public sale.
       
  • Can I purchase my seats with a gift card?
    • Patrons are unable to use a gift card when paying through Account Manager but can use a gift card if purchasing in person at the Tanger Center Box Office. Please note that payment plans will not be available if using a gift card, as we will need a valid credit card in place to set up the payment plan.
       
  • Content Advisory
    • Some shows do not appeal to every guest or every age. Broadway shows will offer a varied range of entertainment that could include sudden loud sounds, strobes/flashing lights, adult language, adult situations, or fog and haze. Patrons are responsible for making an informed purchasing decision on show content. Each Broadway show has its own web site that describes content and age recommendations.

      Please note: All patrons will require a ticket to this performance, regardless of age.  Many Broadway shows require that children must be at least 6 years of age to attend and accompanied by an adult.

      Some shows or events do have a different age policy and Tanger Center will note these on the individual show web page for each event. Family shows such as Disney Live, Paw Patrol and Sesame Street Live may require all children 1 year of age and above to have a ticket. Children must be able to sit quietly in their own seat without disturbing others guests. Infants are not recommended. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, children who are disruptive to other guests will be asked to leave the auditorium seating area. All sales are final, and no refunds will be allowed for removals due to disruption. Please check with the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts at 336-373-7400 if you need more clarification.
       
  • Inclement weather
    • Performances at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts will plan to go on as scheduled. If weather conditions prevent you from attending your scheduled performance, the Tanger Center staff will try our best to assist you. However, please note that availability for exchanges may be limited and all Tanger Center sales are final. Please note that Tanger Center weighs the safety of our audiences, staff and performers greatly into any decisions made regarding performance schedule changes.
